EarthBox

The EarthBox is the product of a lifetime dream and eight years of diligent research. This maintenance-free, award-winning, high-tech growing system makes it possible for anyone, whether amateur or professional, to grow superb vegetables or flowers. It’s perfect for small spaces like patios, decks and apartment balconies.

The patented EarthBox was developed by commercial farmers and proven in the lab and on the farm. It controls soil conditions, eliminates guesswork and more than doubles the yield of a conventional garden -- with less fertilizer, less water and virtually no effort.

The EarthBox’s plastic cover drastically reduces the water evaporation rate and returns condensed water vapor to the potting mix. As the plants draw water from the reservoir, they consume only what they need to stay healthy. Plants cannot be over-watered or under-watered if the reservoir is kept full. The plastic cover also prevents fertilizer from being diluted or washed away by rain and inhibits the growth of disease-causing mold, as well as the invasion of plant-eating pests.

Years of research have yielded the optimal number and arrangement of each type of vegetable, fruit, herb or flower for healthy growing. Studies have shown that the EarthBox can double yields, using less water and fertilizer compared to conventional gardening. The EarthBox has been designed so that you can’t over water and the only way to underwater is to let the water reservoir run dry.

Casters enable home gardeners to move the EarthBox outside during the day and inside at night, extending the growing season by planting earlier and harvesting later. The EarthBox can also be easily moved around the patio or deck to increase or decrease the amount of time spent in the sun.

Since the EarthBox uses ordinary potting mix, soil conditions in your yard mean nothing. In fact, many people have tremendous EarthBox gardens on their patios, balconies and decks. Almost any brand of peat-based potting mix for containers or hanging plants will work.

The dimensions of the EarthBox are 29 inches long, 13.5 inches wide and 11 inches tall.
