Croton1Featured Plant:Croton

Flowers are not the only way to have color in your garden. The colorful foliage of tropical Croton will brighten up your landscape, which is why we chose it as our featured plant.

Croton can be used in pots alone or with annuals, or planted in your garden soil. Since they’re tropical, treat them as annuals. But potted croton can be overwintered inside.

Croton 2The Croton plant comes in many shapes and colors from yellow, orange, red, green and purple-red. New leaves are green and change color as they mature.

The plant grows to 3 or 4 feet. It needs full sun for the best color and consistently moist enriched soil.

We have a number of these beautiful plants at our garden center at the top of 5th Street Hill, but come soon for the best selection.
