Plant Bulbs Now
for Blooms in Spring

bulbsAt this time of year, we’re all looking forward to the warmer days of spring -- with the beautiful spring bulbs that brighten up our landscapes.

Fall is the traditional time to plant tulips and daffodils, but it’s not really the best time. The warmer weather in autumn can “confuse” the bulbs and make them start growing immediately. It’s best to plant during early winter so the cooler weather will keep the bulbs dormant.

Late December and January are the best times to plant spring-blooming bulbs. Lavalette Nursery has a large selection of daffodils and tulips in a variety of colors. Take some home and store them in your garage until you have a chance to plant them during one of those warmer winter days we usually get after Christmas.
